New Condensate Return Unit For Large Hospital

What was the problem?

The existing Condensate Recovery Unit (CRU) was out of order and beyond repair, leaving valuable condensate overflowing to drain. To recover and return the condensate to the Boilerhouse a new condensate return system was required.

How Valveforce helped

Valveforce carried out a survey of the existing Condensate Return Unit (CRU) and identified that the current system was beyond economical repair. Together with projected energy savings we offered the correct technical solution, which resulted in Valveforce being awarded the contract to design, build, install and commission a new Condensate Return Unit.

Benefits of installing a new Condensate Return Unit

We replaced an old Mechanical Condensate Pump with a fully packaged Electrical Condensate Pump. With a new up to date system now installed, valuable condensate is now being returned to the Boilerhouse to reuse as treated boiler feedwater, this is resulting in energy savings in the region of £12,000 per year.
