Field Service Engineer – PumpForce

As an exciting business looking to continue its growth strategy, The Force Group is looking for a Field Service Engineer to provide clients with aftersales/service support of all types of pump systems such as cold-water boosters, heating circulation, pressurisation units, condensate, etc. Working mostly within energy centres, plant rooms, hospitals and industrial settings.

The Field Service Engineer role is to:

  • Complete all works associated with pumps and the immediate system/ancillaries
  • Carry out PPM visits to help ensure longevity of site equipment
  • Carry out onsite installations, repairs, overhaul & testing of a wide range of pumps & systems
  • Complete site surveys (where required) for upcoming works
  • Attend breakdowns/call outs
  • Completing comprehensive and professionally worded job reports
  • Advise customers how to carry out basic checks to ensure faults are picked up quickly
  • Look to develop the offering by cross selling across the group; pumps, valves, heat exchangers, controls and service packages
  • Make customers aware of service package offerings by the company
  • Provide support for technical and commercial enquiries
  • Develop long term relationships with customers
  • Champion the company as a customer facing representative
  • Understand the product range and offer onsite technical advice to customer
  • Liaising with other members of the team in different departments to offer the best outcome to the customer and grow the business
  • Keep up to date with all relevant health and safety certifications

About You

  • Previous experience in pumps desirable
  • Knowledgeable in valves, pumps, heat exchangers, controls and service packages would be beneficial but not essential
  • Time served engineer or completed apprenticeship
  • Mechanical and electrical experience
  • Ability to fault find
  • Strong customer service, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Keen interest in learning new skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Great active listening skills
